Understanding Al-Mu’izz and Al-Mudhil – The Giver and Withholder of Honor

In this video, we explore two of the most powerful and awe-inspiring names of Allah ﷻ: Al-Mu’izz (The Giver of Honor) and Al-Mudhill (The Giver of Disgrace). These names reflect the divine control over human dignity, reputation, and standing in this world — far beyond what wealth, titles, or social status can offer.

Al-Mu’izz is the one who uplifts, dignifies, and grants spiritual and worldly strength to whomever He wills. You may have noticed the light of dignity and inner peace on the faces of sincere believers — that is a reflection of Allah’s gift of izzah (honor) through His name Al-Mu’izz. When you continuously remember this name, you attract divine honor and the respect of others through humility and righteousness.

On the other hand, Al-Mudhill is the one who humiliates and lowers those who turn away from truth or walk arrogantly in rebellion. He strips away false power, exposes hidden shame, and reminds us that true dignity lies in obedience to Him — not in worldly status.
