From Change to Closeness – A Journey to Ihsan (Inner Excellence)

From Change to Closeness – A Journey to Ihsan (Inner Excellence)

This course is for anyone who has already started the path of change and now wants to move towards something deeper: closeness to Allah. “From Change to Closeness – A Journey to Ihsan” is a gentle but impactful effort into the heart of Islam. It’s about the continuation of the journey we started with the “40 Days Toward Change” course.

It focuses on Ihsan, the highest station of faith. Ihsan means to worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot, then to know that He sees you. It is about turning everyday moments into acts of presence, sincerity, and love.

Many people try to change but struggle with staying consistent. They feel dry inside, even when doing all the right things. This course is for those hearts. It helps you move from doing Islam on the outside to living it deeply on the inside.

It blends reflection on the Qur’an, lessons from the Prophet (peace be upon him), spiritual exercises, and journaling. Step by step, it will help you feel more connected, more aware, and more alive in your faith.

This is not just about more knowledge. It’s about transformation. About becoming the kind of believer who lives with beauty, balance, and barakah.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, you will:

  • Understand the meaning of Ihsan and why it is central to our faith
  • Be able to notice signs of spiritual stagnation in your life
  • Develop deeper sincerity (Ikhlas) and trust in Allah (Tawakkul)
  • Practice Murāqabah, the awareness that Allah is always watching
  • Build habits of remembrance, reflection, and presence
  • Learn to purify your heart through Tazkiyah
  • Create your own personalised Ihsan Routine to stay spiritually grounded

What You Will Learn

Module 1: What is Ihsan?

This module introduces the concept of Ihsan in light of the Quran and Sunnah. You will explore what it means to worship Allah as though you see Him.

You will reflect on how this changes not only your salah but also how you treat others and how you carry yourself in daily life. This module lays the foundation. It opens your heart to the beauty of living with intention and presence.

Module 2: Trust and Sincerity

Here, we explore Tawakkul (trust in Allah) and Ikhlas (sincerity) as the roots of Ihsan. You will learn how to let go of overthinking and self-reliance. The focus is on trusting the process and doing things only for the sake of Allah.

We will reflect on verses and Prophetic stories that teach these qualities. You will also start small practices to strengthen your inner connection with Allah.

Module 3: Recognising Spiritual Stagnation

This module looks at the subtle signs of spiritual dryness and burnout. Sometimes we keep doing acts of worship but feel no change inside. We will talk about how to identify those feelings without guilt. And how to gently move beyond them.

You will learn the role of self-reflection and the need for spiritual renewal. This module brings relief and hope, reminding you that dryness is part of the journey, not the end of it.

Module 4: Cleansing the Heart

In this module, we focus on Tazkiyah, the process of purifying the heart. You will learn about common spiritual diseases like arrogance, envy, and heedlessness. And how to replace them with humility, gratitude, and awareness.

We will study short Quranic duas and Prophetic habits that heal the heart. This module is quiet but powerful. It invites you to sit with your own heart and begin the work of softening it.

Module 5: Acts of Presence

This module brings everything into daily life. You will learn how to make dhikr and du‘ā not just rituals, but moments of presence. You will also practice noticing Allah in small things, a kind word, a sunrise, a breath.

There will be sample routines and tips on how to stay spiritually alive even when life is busy. This part helps you build consistency without pressure.

Module 6: Building Ihsan Routine

Now it’s time to put it all together. This final module guides you to design your own daily and weekly routine for inner excellence. It will be based on your life, your pace, and your goals.

You will receive a template and lots of encouragement to make it yours. The idea is not perfection but presence. You will finish the course with a plan that keeps your heart connected long after the sessions end.

Course Format and Activities

The course is offered in a flexible online format. You can go at your own pace or follow along with a weekly schedule. Each module includes:

  • Short video lessons
